Your Ultimate Guide to the Best Harrisonburg Breweries

Virginia and craft beer are partners in good times, and Harrisonburg breweries are putting out some excellent brews. Leading the Shenandoah Valley in craft beer game, Harrisonburg’s draft list is not to be overlooked. Don’t go thirsty in the Shenandoah Valley – head to any of these Harrisonburg breweries, and your thirst will be quenched.

Brothers Craft Brewing

The endeavor of three brothers with a passion for good beer, Brothers Craft Brewing produces a diverse, award-winning selection. The well-designed bottle labels will grab your attention immediately, but it’s the concoction inside that will hook you. Whether it’s one of the Brothers’ flagship drinks, like the Hoptimization IPA, or the autumn-appropriate Five Pound Fall Ale, there’s a beer here that will please your palate. The best way to experience this Harrisonburg brewery’s liquid lineup is with a trip to their Taproom. You’ll find a rotation of their beers on tap, live music, trivia nights, and much more.

Pale Fire Brewing Company

Located in downtown Harrisonburg and less than two years old, this recent addition to the roster of Harrisonburg breweries has helped cement the city’s status as a craft beer community. With combined backgrounds in both the restaurant and craft beer industries, long-time friends Tim Brady and Jamie Long opened Pale Fire Brewing Company in April of 2015. Pale Fire’s selection of brews covers a wide spectrum, including saisons, a table beer, IPAs, a Belgian tripel, and more. Not sure where to start? Try a pint of the Salad Days American saison, which brought home bronze awards at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival and the 2016 World Beer Cup. Visit their taproom where you’ll find a hip, relaxed environment, complete with shelves of books and a record player. Order a flight or fill up your growler, and enjoy one of the finest Harrisonburg breweries.

Three Notch’d Brewing Company

Three Notch’d in Harrisonburg is the second of three breweries from the Charlottesville-based company. Named after a Virginia road that played a crucial role in the American War for Independence, it’s only safe to assume that the folks at Three Notch’d Brewing Company serve beers worthy of their namesake. Head to their Harrisonburg location, and you’ll find both their mainstay brews and a collection of collaborations and specialty beers. That selection includes the 40 Mile IPA, No Veto English Brown Ale, Summerberry Wheat, and the Roux 40 IPA, a team effort between Three Notch’d and South Street Brewery. Try these and more when you visit their Harrisonburg brewhouse, where new beers are crafted weekly, and fun events like trivia nights and cornhole games take place.

Restless Moons Brewing Company

All of the beers at Restless Moons Brewing Company are made just a few feet away from the bar in our taproom. We brew our beers in small batches, five barrels at a time. This allows us to constantly rotate the beers we offer and maintain a diverse tap list. We make a wide variety of beers because we like to drink a wide variety of beers and think that everyone who walks through our doors should be able to find something they enjoy. Our tap list is constantly changing, so check here often to see what’s new and currently on tap.
