Basic Rules and Things to Know

In general, during any summer trip, it is wise to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and wear UV-protective clothing. In addition to this, staying hydrated is important. You may think that you’ll stay cool on the river, but the summer sun can dehydrate you. To keep everyone hydrated, pack a rental cooler tube with hydrating drinks. Lastly, find legitimate water shoes to wear while you’re on the river. You’ll say goodbye to your flip-flops if, depending on the company, you’re even allowed to wear them.
